Name of Assignment: Shark Tank Project Subject: Spanish I Facilitator/Teacher: Janette Cogliandro (Profe Aji/Profe)
Description of Work/Assignment:
We were assigned a group to work with. We needed to come up with a menu for our restaurant, food truck or any other type of food place. This chapter we were focusing on food items, so we needed to come up with a menu with food from a country that spoke spanish. Our country was Spain and we did a food truck. The other part of the project was the presentation, we had try to persuade the Sharks (our classmates) to let the foot truck grow bigger with their investment.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
This project addressed the interpersonal 21st century skill because of the groups cooperation. There was also a lot of communication that needed to happen since we weren't able to work on it in class. We all needed to make sure we were all on the same page and all agreed to what we were going to do as a group.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
I was most proud of the background of the menu, because it is really one of the only thing that I am proud of other than the fact that we all cooperated well.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment?
I improved on this 21st century skill because I had a group project and as a group we needed to make sure we cooperated well, most importantly communicated well and all agreed to what we needed to do. Using this skill in this project helped me improve it.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult task was the research of the project. Getting the correct information and pictures were the hardest, but overall the project wasn't that hard.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently?
We could improve the project by organizing the pictures better and also by organizing the titles better. If we also added the theme in the writing, it could make it more fun. If we could start over I would probably start by what I stated above.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past?
This relates to what I have learned in the past because we had to do a group project in spanish in the beginning of the year. Although, my group didn't make a slide that time so it was a little different. For both projects, if we brainstormed how everything was going to be laid out, then it would be more organized.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply this to future learning because I kind of have a base of spanish language and it can help me in spanish II.
